P o p (chiamata pi in italiano) è la quattordicesima lettera dell’alfabeto italiano e la sedicesima dell’alfabeto latino. How are plosives made?

Plosives are made by fully blocking the flow of air as it leaves the mouth. Sound is produced when the blocked air is released in an explosion.

What is a plosive sound?

In phonetics, plosives (or stops) are speech sounds which are produced with a constriction of complete closure. This means that an active articulator (e.g. the tongue) touches a passive articulator (e.g. the roof of the mouth). This prevents the air from escaping via the mouth.
