Come funziona Dupixent?

Il principio attivo di Dupixent, dupilumab, è un anticorpo monoclonale (un tipo di proteina) sviluppato per bloccare i recettori (bersagli) di IL-4 e IL- 13. Bloccando i recettori, dupilumab impedisce a IL-4 e a IL-13 di agire e allevia i sintomi della malattia.

Come fare iniezione Dupixent?

Dupilumab è somministrato tramite iniezione sottocutanea nella coscia o nell’addome, fatta eccezione per i 5 cm attorno all’ombelico. Se praticata da altri, è possibile fare l’iniezione anche nella parte superiore del braccio.
